[And the tulpa, in a typical fashion often wants to be whatever the host wants because dependency ect. Mind you I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing.]
like, if the host chooses a form of a character for them, then the host will think of them as that character, and that'll affect the tulpa's personality/identity
yeah, newly developed/developing tulpas based on characters can acquire the idea that they actually are the character, if their host isn't careful about that
Aurora greatly disliked her first form. But she doesn't like sticking to any one thing for very long anyway. She always has a theme. But it's usually very different day to day.
ive never heard one of my system that was based on another character complain about that, nor were any of them dumb enough to ever believe that they were in fact that character
It's not that they're "dumb" it's just that the host will end up thinking of them as being that character, especially if they have both the name/form of that character
[Yeah even when new. With tulpish and early traits it's really hard to confuse. I remember taking character forms early on as well. I just, unless it's a soulbond type deal(and then because soulbond...) I don't see form affecting stuff that much.]
The host will still have memories of that character and a certain impression of that character, those things are bound to affect the tulpa in some ways
really i think that if you want to let your tulpa form its own identity, good for you go do that, but if someone wants to mold their tulpa, good for them they should go do that
[Tulpas pretty much never form their own initial characters though? That's usually done by the host so you have something to build on. It's hard to make something of yourself starting from 0]
Pretty much with me, Tacio just talked to an orb of light and thought of it as a new person developing. No personality base was required at all, as I simply formed my personality naturally
[Not even a casual intitial idea of oh this is how Indigo is? That you then developed. I mean i have a hard time seeing a tulpa veeing created without some sort of initial impression from the host.]
[So how did you start? Thinking of a glowing light talking until you did. Idk I guess it's not direct forcing and just subconscious expectations in the beginning then. Either way I don't necessarily see random subconscious expectations as much better than a consfiously decided light base to start from.]
but i still see no inherant problem with manufactured but i suppose the smart thing to do with manufactured would be to at least make the thing fine with it being that way
I would interact with others, and their reactions could serve as reinforcements for certain behaviors of mine
If I liked the reactions, or I was enjoying how I acted, etc, then those behaviors could grow/morph/form/etc. into actual personality traits
12:56 AM
This continuing over a certain amount of time can form a developed, integrated personality
And that personality can continue to grow and change, but for me I'm pretty much the same but more mature

It was the same with Tacio too, where people's reactions and such would form behaviors, only that led him to a personality that's very different from mine
